To produce high quality companion animals, consider the cost of the following: Appropriate Veterinary testing on potential breeding pairs to determine health and proper structure ; Pre & post-natal Veterinary visits; Vaccinations; de-worming. Licensing, registration and association fees; High quality, nutritious foods; Stud Fees (from Champion Stock); Prompt medical treatment in cases of an emergency; Willingness to quickly remove any animal from the breeding program that show any genetic weaknesses; A good breeder will not breed a dog until it is fully mature at 1.5 years.
