Puppy Guarantee

The breeder attests that the puppy is in good health at time of sale and has received post-natal care by a licensed Veterinarian. The puppy has been vaccinated according to the puppy's age. The health record booklet and vaccination certificate given to the buyer indicates which vaccines have been administered to the puppy. The puppy has been de-wormed at least once (if necessary). Future vaccines and treatments are at the buyer's cost.

Within 72 hours of purchase, the purchaser must bring the dog to their Veterinarian for an exam. If the veterinarian finds the dog is in unsatisfactory health and written documentation by the purchaser's licensed veterinarian is provided to Lil' Amigo Chihuahuas, the purchaser will receive a full refund upon return of the dog, registration papers, and all records.

Contagious and infection diseases are guaranteed against for 5 days. Worms and parasites common to dogs are not covered in this guarantee. Lil' Amigo Chihuahuas has taken every precaution against worms, fleas, and other parasites through de-worming and sanitary living conditions. Parasites may be picked up in transit, at Vet's offices, in dog parks, on walks, etc. so it is the purchaser's responsibility to take preventative measures against internal and external parasites, and treat any that may be found.

Lil Amigo Chihuahuas guarantees that the dog is free from life-threatening or crippling congenital or hereditary defects for a period of 1 year from the time of sale. A licensed veterinarian must provide written documentation of this defect in order for the purchaser to receive a replacement or refund. Refund only applies to the purchase price of the dog and does not include shipping or any other expenses. This guarantee shall be void if the dog is destroyed before the breeder is notified of the condition. The purchaser understands that they are fully responsible for all veterinary expenses for diagnostic purposes. If the dog should die, an autopsy is required (purchasers cost) to determine the cause of death. Documentation must be provided to qualify for a refund/ replacement.

Unless otherwise stated, the dog is sold as a pet/companion animal. There is no guarantee as to conformation, weight, size, color, coat, temperament, breeding ability or show quality. We strive to breed and raise all our dogs for health, temperament and for show quality. But please understand that many variables can affect a puppy's final weight. The puppy may end up being larger or smaller than its predicted weight. Lil' Amigo Chihuahuas made an honest effort to estimate the grown weight of the puppy based on recognized weight charts for a Chihuahua and size of the parents. However, the accuracy is dependent on many factors including, but not limited to: spaying/neutering, feeding poor quality food and/or table scraps, pet foods contaminated with growth hormones or other contaminates, increased or decreased muscle tone, genetics (it can be so unpredictable), and individual developmental rates may affect its full mature size & weight.

It is best that the buyer prevent the puppy from coming into contact with other animals before it has received it’s next vaccines.

 The buyer consents to have the puppy examined within five (5) days following its departure from the breeder's kennel by a veterinarian of his or her choice.
